Project Description Client had a 3,600 Sq.ft workshop and wanted to demolish and converted it to an almost 10,000 cannabis
The goal was to prepare a full set of design plans to create an ADU to Existing SFR in San Diego, California. The existing house included 3 Bed, 2.5 Bath Pacific Beach/Mt. Soledad, snazzy mid-century modern touches. The complete design set for ADU was provided to the client.
InnoDez studied the existing conditions of the building, as a firm specialized in ADUs, we focused to balance a modest budget with the client desire to pursue innovative techniques and high-level sustainability goals. We incorporated passive strategies in this project.
1- The main challenge for this project was the client’s limited budget. All aspects of the design had to be elaborately studied to keep the construction costs low.
2- The energy code was very strict in this project neighborhood. This small detached building was more challenging to design per the code than similarly sized apartments in a larger building.
